1. Name what is happening

Putting words around pressure can reduce confusion and help you decide what support or action is needed.

2. Reduce avoidable load

Resilience improves when unnecessary strain is reduced. Look at workload, rest, conflict, uncertainty, and information overload.

3. Build recovery into the week

Short periods of recovery can help regulate stress. Recovery might include movement, quiet time, connection, sleep routines, or time away from screens.

4. Use support early

Support works best when accessed before things reach crisis point. This could include a trusted colleague, manager, GP, therapist, support line, or workplace support route.

5. Keep expectations realistic

Resilience is not about being constantly positive. It is about noticing strain, using support, and making safer choices.

Important: Grounded Therapy is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health help in England, use NHS 111 and select the mental health option.
