Resilience without pressure

Resilience is not about ignoring difficulty or pushing through harm. It is the capacity to recover, adapt, ask for support, and make realistic choices during pressure. This workbook is designed for reflection and planning.

Core resilience areas

  • Support: who you can speak to and what support is safe to access.
  • Recovery: what helps your body and mind rest.
  • Boundaries: where expectations need to be adjusted.
  • Meaning: what values help guide your next steps.

Reflection prompts

  1. What has helped me cope with difficulty before?
  2. What early warning signs tell me I need to slow down or seek support?
  3. What is one practical boundary I can set this week?
  4. Who could I contact before things feel unmanageable?
Note: This workbook is educational. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis intervention.
Important: Grounded Therapy is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental health help in England, use NHS 111 and select the mental health option.
